Why is the Bible credible?

 

There are many reasons, one of them being the amazing biblical prophecies - confirmed by history.

What does this book say about the future? That God will not let endless evil  things happen on earth, but he will make a historical and definitive change, eliminating the source and effects of evil, forever.

That is why I took as a motto of this presentation, a quote from the book of the prophet Daniel:

"Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever! Wisdom and power are his.

He changes times and circumstances; He overthrows and makes kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and understanding to the wise.

He discovers what is deep and hidden; He knows what is in the darkness and the light dwells in Him. "Daniel 2: 20-22

To understand the importance of this evidence, we need to delve into the following topics:

What is a prophecy?

Prophecy consists of divinely inspired words, visions, or dreams, which one receives by revelation from God.

- What is a prophet?

Man must be called by God in order to be a prophet.

- What is a counter-prophet (called a "false prophet")?

Satan the Devil raises false prophets and uninspired interpreters to thwart God's prophecies.

- Some say that not all prophecies will be fulfilled if God does not have the right people. Is this idea true?

No prophecy in the Holy Scriptures is of human origin (2 Peter 1:20), and because God is stronger than the Devil, all prophecies will be fulfilled.

There is a book written by Werner Keller, "The Bible as History," in which the author argues that the Bible is correct in historical view.

He is not the only author to support the historical advantage of the Bible. There are many. For example, Nelson Glueck wrote, “For 30 years I did archeological excavations. . ., and in terms of historical accuracy, I have found that the Bible has always been right. "

Nelson Glueck (June 4, 1900 - February 12, 1971) was an American rabbi, academician and archaeologist. He was president of the Union of the Jewish College from 1947 until his death, and his pioneering work in biblical archeology led to the discovery of 1,500 archeological sites (ancient localities).

The Bible has the strongest advantage: fulfilled prophecies, confirmed by history.

Explanations of Jehovah's Name: The name of God is not "the Lord" (Adonai in Hebrew), but Jehovah.          In the future "the Great Apostasy" and the "Great Opression" will come (2 Thessalonians 2: 4, Revelation 13: 7) and it is possible that our generation will see these events. Please note that I wrote "possible" and not "sure". Whatever the case may be, fulfilled prophecies can strengthen believers that the Holy Scripture, the ancient Bible, correctly translated and interpreted, is trustworthy and useful for our completion.
God solemnly promises that salvation will be granted to all nations of the earth:
Revelation 7: 9 “And I looked, and behold, there was a great multitude, that no one could number, from any nation, from any tribe, from any people, nor from any language, that stood before the throne. and before the Lamb, put on white garments, with branches of the finick in the hands. "
White clothes represent the approval of their faith in the blood of the Lamb (Revelation 7:14), they do not have a "facade" faith, but a real, living, factual faith, so they are saved.
The key word is "FROM ANY NAMES ...", so not all individuals will be saved, but only individuals repented of by any people. This is where the people of modern Israel come in. About me, as the author of this booklet and my inclination towards history
When I was young I wanted to become a history professor in the field of research on ancient subjects, but certain circumstances stopped me. So I have no school historian training at a state or private college, but I have historian training, as a self-taught, schooled in the faculty of God of life, where I read and studied the Holy Scripture, the Bible, at night and day. , since 1991. I do not work in the field as a history teacher, but I can do it as a layman, especially in the biblical ones. I noticed that history confirms Bible prophecies accurately, which surprised me. We have a wise God, like no other at all, great and wonderful! He reigns from heaven with power, wisdom, justice and love. Nobody is like him! His glory forever! Amen!
Each one has a gift, a talent and if he is buried, he will lose the Master's appreciation, remaining ashamed as a ruthless servant ... I cannot bury my "talent" ...
But even when we do what is commanded to us, by the grace we have received, because of inherited sin (nature), our genes no longer function as they should. So we cannot justify our actions before God. If we could, the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God, would have been useless. It is a maximum sacrifice and must be appreciated to the maximum. Our heavenly Father, God, has given us everything he loved and loved, his only begotten Son, because he loved us. Let us never forget such love!
We are exhorted to the utmost humility:

An exhortation: Let's be very careful about translations!
The Bible contains ancient prophecies that have been fulfilled, current prophecies being fulfilled, and prophecies about the future. Studying the English-Hebrew and English-Greek biblical interlinearities, I often encounter some misleading translations that confuse things, and I find it amazed how they take readers the wrong way. Those who search the Bible should also deal with this aspect, that is, to check how well or not the Greek and Hebrew plays in English are done. On the other hand, avoid the additions that have been attached to the ancient texts.
I want to give you an example here. Some denominational churches (cults) use Zephaniah 1: 2,3 in connection with other verses, to claim that in the kingdom of a thousand years the earth (Earth) will be deserted and empty, being exclusively a prison of Satan and his demons. . But these verses taken in context and translated according to their Hebrew meaning do not show this.
In Genesis 1: 1,2 he writes "The bar of Elohim et ha-shaamayim v'et ha-areţ. Ve ha-areita haita tohu vabohu vehoşeh al-pnei tehom ve ruah Elohim merahefet al-pnei ha-mayim."
We notice here that the Earth, the Earth is called "land", being a planetary land. In contrast, in Zephaniah 1: 2,3 there appears another word "adamah", with the meaning of something lower, a land of one nation. Young's Literal Translation, compared to other ones, translates the text from this perspective into Genesis by placing "earth" (earth, with the solid surface meaning of the earth, indefinite) and to Zefania "ground" (with the specific surface meaning). of the earth, delimited, being the land of a land or country). If we look in context, the prophecy refers to the ancient Judea (Zephaniah 1: 4) and it should be placed on the topic of fulfilled prophecies, and not on the topic of unfulfilled prophecies. , about Millennium, the Messianic Kingdom.
