We have here and you there a blessed time for research! The internet is a big and very informative library. But this freedom will end in the future. Possible in a few years (!).

That's why I recommend an urgent need for further investigation of some doctrines of the ancient Christian truths and early Christian’s lifestyle.

We need to investigate all the ancient manuscripts, for a better understanding of the variants and to chose the right version.

Go to the Virtual Manuscript Rooms.

Go to the Evangelical Textual Criticism.

A forum for people with knowledge of the Bible in its original languages to discuss its manuscripts and textual history from the perspective of historic evangelical theology.

This time of freedom will end in the near future, so we must take a right decision now, and this is not possible, if we don't search the sources impartially.

God's punishment over the false religion surely will come.

Revelation 17:1

One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits by many waters.

16 The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire.

17 For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to hand over to the beast their royal authority, until God’s words are fulfilled.

Now is just a matter or time... See why... and from whom.

“New Atheism is the name given to the ideas promoted by a collection of modern atheist writers who have advocated the view that “religion should not simply be tolerated but should be countered, criticized, and exposed by rational argument wherever its influence arises.”

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Atheism

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antireligion

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_atheism

Sooner or later, all the false religious groups of any kind will disappear. Including us if we will find in the wrong places. A wrong place comes from a wrong Bible version.

For example, see the real text of Matthew 10:28

Matt. 10:28 - NIV, NAB - in First Apology of Justin (cc 134 AD)

"Fear not them that kill you, and after that can do no more; but fear Him who after death is able to cast both soul and body into hell (the original Greek text have “Gehenna()."

No allusion for an immortal soul as in KJV and other pro-immortal soul versions. We will find other surprises, also.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Atheism

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antireligion

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_atheism

40. Which is the best Old Testament text?

The oldest known today is the DSS, is the best?

Not in all cases. Depends who wrote it. Exist differences in the caves, and exist different variants.

Some of the Essene Text of Death Sea Scrolls is not the best in any cases because was written by a sect (the Essenes), of Samaritan origin - according to the Jewish Christian Epiphanius from the IV. century..https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epiphanius_of_Salamis

So, first read the book about the early Jewish and other sects, by Epiphanius, the Panarion.

A friend recommended it, and was very interesting to read the Panarion book.

Earliest Alphabet Ever Identified As Hebrew: Substantiates Biblical Narrative

"A new report states that the oldest alphabet in the world is Hebrew, and substantiates Biblical claims that the Hebrews indeed lived in Egypt at the time of the Exodus.

Archaeologist and epigrapher Douglas Petrovich of Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Canada studied stone slabs at several Egyptian sites, and found that the Israelites translated hieroglyphics into Hebrew 1.0 over 3,800 years ago.

(...)"Petrovich was anticipated by a German scholar in the 1920s who identified the ancient Egyptian writing as Hebrew, but cold not identify many letters in the alphabet."

97. Is a man immortal? A man have an immortal soul?

Is a man immortal? A man have an immortal soul?

We must not believe Satan's lie that people do not die (Genesis 3:4, John 3:13, John 11:11-14). Man is a divine creation of God, the result of union with the spirit and body of flesh or, in other words, the spirit breathed by the Creator (Genesis 2:7). As long as flesh and spirit coexist, man is a being, a living thing that has life, in Biblical terms: a soul (blower, breathing thing) is alive. When this union no longer exists, man as a being, no longer is a living thing, no longer a soul, no longer a living vent. He simply does not live consciously anymore, life and death is the opposite of self-consciousness (Psalm 146:4, Ecclesiastes 9:4-10, Psalm 6:5). Death can not praise God (Isaiah 38:18-19). The only hope for those who die is the resurrection (John 5:28,29). Is no "life" in consciousness or semi-consciousness, nor a state of Purgatory after death (Ecclesiastes 9:1-12). Do not be fooled by those who translate and explain certain verses in the New Testament in afterlife-immortal view, for there is no such thing. Old manuscripts confirm that certain verses have been translated wrongly or even biased, as some biblical scholars say. If man could live after death, there would be no need for resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:12-18). According to the Bible, the soul that sins dies (Ezekiel 18:20), and because all have sinned in one way or another, all die, and Lord Jesus will come and destroy death. So there is no immortal soul.

98. The great grace of God

The great grace of God

Hello my friends, brothers and sisters

Thank to God, our Father, through our Lord and Savior Jesus, for all his free grace and help.

This is a great grace from God, which sinners did not deserve. This is given free, but by faith in the Son of God, Ephesians 2:8,9, Romans 3:23,24, Titus 3:5-7.

The "great grace" of God, which is given "free", but of course by true faith alone. See the following verses about the free grace - but without faint is not free at all :) Ephesians 2:8,9, Romans 3:23,24, Titus 3:5-7.

Peace&grace&inspiration from our heavenly and beloved Father,

TJ

100. Question: How are we saved?

Question: How are we saved?

Peace brothers, sisters and friend,

„How are we saved: Through the blood of Christ and good works or, only through the blood of Christ, in order to do good works?”

First - years ago - I not understand the deep implication of this question, till a friend article awake my interest in this topic. And from God's mercy and through his grace, I studied the topic carefully, with a lot of verses and I think, you will agreed the conclusion: only through the blood of Christ, in order to do good works. Amen!

101. When we reach salvation

When we reach salvation

My friends,

When we reach salvation, freely from God's great grace, through Christ's sacrifice, this is not before our dedication. First step is the spiritual reborn which is that we must repent toward God - cleaning our life from spiritual and psychical misery (rejecting all kind of sin) -  and believe in his Son, as Lord and Savior of the believers - through his blood, second step we must take the dedication act - the baptism  in water - and just after we will receive the free gift of grace, which is the wonderful promise of the eternal life. Non-repent not could receive this, just repent.

With great Christian love,

John

102. Two "textual investigation"

Two "textual investigation"

In some ancient manuscripts we will find some textual differences.

We offer here two examples:

I

2 Peter 1:1

'Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ to those who have received a faith as precious as ours through the righteousness of God and Savior Jesus Christ.'

We see that in these modern times, that in some translations, this Bible verse seems to indicate that Jesus is being called 'God', as well as 'Savior'. But in relation to this first example, we have some manuscripts such as Codex Sahidic Coptic, (which, in being a much earlier manuscript written near the end of the second century, we might safely assume that it would be less prone to errors and corruptions than manuscripts written at a later date). Another example being the Greek manuscript of Codex Sinaiticus from the first part of the fourth century, (it having been written in response to the potentially detrimental implications to the faith directly related to the results of those things which transpired at the Council of Nicaea, which has as further evidence of it's illicit intentions, the fact that it was financed by the Emperor Constantine, who, along with the application of political pressure, coerced the acceptance and establishment of his own 'ideology' within the church). Also, in the list of evidence texts, we have another, very reputable text, the Aramaic manuscript (Syriac).

In these texts, along with a number of quotes from ancient authors, we find substantial evidence, that in relation to the correct translation of this verse, that the word in question is correctly translated as 'Lord', not 'God'.

So, in regards to the question of what is the correct translation of this verse, we believe that the term 'Lord and Savior' is the accurate expression, and reflects the original writing of Peter. This is further supported by the fact that it is in agreement with other similar expressions which are also found in 2 Peter. These being 2 Peter 1:11; 2:20; 3:2; 3:18.

II

As our second example, we look to the use of the word 'today' found in Luke 23:43, these verse translations differ and are as follows:

According to the early, second century Codex Curetonianus this verse is translated as: "I say today to you, you will be with me in paradise."

This text, which may be as early as the second century, is written in the oldest and classical form of the Syriac alphabet, called Estrangelā, without vowel points. This rendering is in agreement with the Bible saying, that our Lord Jesus was death three days, in the grave and not in the paradise.

Exist some Bible translations, like NWT, TOB, etc. who make this old rendering clear:

Luke 23:43 Jésus lui répondit:

«En vérité, je te le dis, aujourd'hui,

tu seras avec moi dans le paradis.»

(Traduction Oecuménique de la Bible)

"Truly, I say to you, today,

you will be with me in paradise."

We see that some verses from the New Testament was corrupted for doctrinal purposes.

For more references anybody could read Bruce Metzger, the great Biblical scholar and also Bible believer, who wrote some interesting books, that shows to anybody, with scientific evidences that the text of the New Testament was corrupted for doctrinal purposes and must be restored.

"Central to his scholarly contribution to New Testament studies is his trilogy: The Text of the New Testament: Its Transmission, Corruption, and Restoration (1964; 2nd ed., 1968; 3d enlarged ed., 1992); The Early Versions of the New Testament: Their Origin, Transmission, and Limitations (1977); The Canon of the New Testament: Its Origin, Development, and Significance (1987)."

Wikipedia

We must go on and continue this great work of restoration with faith, prayers, holy feelings and strictly scientific and comparative methods which is so needful in the "textual investigation".

103. Questions and answers about...

Questions and answers about...

a) What is sin?

b) What is the law, who is it given to and why was it given?

c) Why were the ancient people of God given laws so harsh?

d) Why did the law change and how was it possible?

e) How many kinds of sins are?

f) And how the fight against sin?

a) The Bible describes sin as "lawlessness" (being without law): 1 John 3:4

b) The laws of God are commanded to teach people what sin is (1 Timothy 1:9, Romans 3:20). These laws were given for the benefit and happiness of people, for peace, good trim and prosperity of a society in which they live and especially to prepare the people for the Kingdom of God, without sin, to come on earth (Isaiah 48:17 -19, 1 Corinthians 6:9,10).

c) The people of God in ancient times were given some harsh laws, like the law of retaliation, the laws of preservation, of spiritual purity, etc., does this mean that God is evil (Exodus 21:22-25, Exodus 21 : 17, Exodus 22:18-20)? No, but these laws were preventive laws, they were meant to show the gravity of sins in the eyes of God (Romans 7:13). If people would obey the laws of God, no one would have to suffer such dramatic consequences (Deuteronomy 30:19).

d) The Bible teaches us that the changes took place with the Aaronic Priesthood and therefore a change in law (Hebrew 7:12). By the beginning of the mission of our Lord Jesus Christ, the law acted as advisor, but that role was ceded to the Son of God, who was "The Prophet" predicted by Moses (Galatians 3:18-29, Deuteronomy 18:15-19). Changing the law could not be without fall under criminal law. An act assumed, that the Son of God took upon himself, the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13, 2 Corinthians 5:21). This change was made on the basis of God's promise to Abraham, to facilitate reconciliation, so that all nations would enter into a relationship with God, their Creator (Genesis 10:18 p.m., Galatians 3:14, Ephesians 2:10-22, Colossians 2:8-14, 2 Corinthians 3:2-13). The new law, called the "law of Christ", "royal law" and "law of liberty" untited some old commands, to further some old orders, while making certain new commands us (1 Corinthians 9:21, Galatians 6:2, James 2:8,12, John 5:16-18, Mark 7:18-23, Matthew 19:16-19, Matthew 5:31-48, Matthew 13:52).

e) Given that you have to proclaim the gospel (good news) to all people (keep in mind that not every sin is forgiven and knowing this truth we are urged not to waste our time in vain, but to try to convince people that were not defiled with unforgivable sin), there are two categories of sins: the sins that can be forgiven, and the sins that can not be forgiven (Matthew 7:6, Matthew 12:31,32, 1 John 5:16).

f) In the struggle with sin must be categorical to reject any kind of sin, knowing that God's people have to stand up against the power of sins (1 John 3:6,9, 1 John 5:18). If you do sin, those sins are due to the imperfection of our nature, they are not deliberate, they come by accident or are forced upon us by others or greater powers (powers of darkness), our sins are an accident and not a part of our way of life, knowing all that, we should endeavour to avoid them, asking for the advice and support of brothers (James 5:16, Romans 8:31-39).

104. The new manna (Jesus) is from heaven

The new manna (Jesus) is from heaven

John 6:31-33

Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat. Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

Who eat from him (this is faith), giveth life.

105. Exist connection between ...

Exist connection between ...

and all drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ

1Cor 10:4

Now, pls. compare this verse with this verse:

The angel of the LORD went up from Gilgal to Bokim and said, "I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land that I swore to give to your forefathers. I said, 'I will never break my covenant with you,

Judges 2:1

Remember pls. a big difference, the text said not about "an angel of the Lord" the text said about "THE angel of the LORD" so this is not a common angel.

Remember again what this angel said: I brought you ... led you ... I swore to your forefathers - So this is a very special angel not "an" angel. You agree?

106. About Jesus Christ and the holy spirit

About Jesus Christ and the holy spirit

Our Lord Jesus Christ, whom we believe that was not as a "twin brother" of God, but obviously, as the Son of God. He had the nature of God (but not God's position), and this nature will have the Christian believers also (2 Peter 1:4). He was the beginning of God's creation, "the master-worker", "the word" through whom God created everything (Revelation 3:14, Prov 8:22-31, John 1:1-3, John 8:57,58, Philippians 2 :5-8). At first, he (Christ) was created, or brought into existence by God and this because in heaven there is no woman who could born to God a Son. Only when the Son of God came from heaven, he was born as a man, literally born by the virgin Mary. In heaven, Jesus Christ lived under another name, as the archangel Michael (Daniel 12:1).

We believe that the Holy Spirit is not a person distinct from God, for this would be as a "twin brother" of God, but it is a property of God, for God is "spirit" (John 4:24). Being created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26), every man has a spirit that still does not make the man a dwelling of two people: more like, the copy reflect the original, so God has His own Spirit, which is incomparably more glorified as our own spirit, that we are only given to the original thumbnail. With spirit we think, act and create (Ephesians 1:17: 4,23,24, 2 Corinthians 4:13, 2 Corinthians 2:11,12, Romans 8:15). So the "spirit" is an intellectual force, including in the case of God.

Best regards and God bless,

J.

107. "and that rock was Christ"

"and that rock was Christ"

Hey my Socinian-Unitarian readers,

Now about your idea that the Son of God was never in contact with the Old Testament's people, would you read a strong verse from the New Testament that he even was in contact with them?

"and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ." 1Cor 10:4

How could you deny Paul's argument?

108. The reconstruction of the biblical calendar

The reconstruction of the biblical calendar

We will find some sources in ancient writings, for example in the books from Qumran

"The year was composed from 364 days, divided in 4 equal seasons of 91 days each. Each season was composed of three equal months of 30 days, plus an extra day at the end of the third month. The whole year was thus composed of exactly 52 weeks, and every calendar day occurred always on the same day of the week. Each year and each season started always on Wednesday, which was the fourth day of the creation narrated in Genesis, the day when the lights in the sky, the seasons, the days and the years were created.[65]:94-95 It is not known how they used to reconcile this calendar with the tropical year of 365.24 days (at least seven suggestions have been made), and it is not even sure if they felt the need to adjust it.[65]:125-140"

The first day of the biblical week = Sunday,
The second day of the biblical week = Monday,
The third day of the biblical week = Tuesday,
The fourth day of the biblical week = Wednesday,
The fifth day of the biblical week Thursday,
The sixth day of the biblical week Friday,
The seventh day of the biblical week Saturday.
Mark 15:42, Mark 16:1

109. Biblia antica vs the modern Bible

Biblia antica vs the modern Bible

Here is the first known author who quote the verse of Matthew 10:28, in a different matter, very close to Luke 12:4,5.

Luke 12:4-5 New International Version (NIV)

“I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.

This could be a witness that in the ancient Bible, this verse were different that in our modern Bible. So, we have two witnesses Doctor Luke, the Evangelist and Justin Martyr.

According to the Bible "two witnesses must be listened":

Matthew 10:28 - NIV, NAB - in First Apology of Justin

"Fear not them that kill you, and after that can do no more; but fear Him who after death is able to cast both soul and body into gehenna."[43]

In the case of Luke 16:19-32 the first witnesses who quote this was a heretic, Marcion of Sinope, and two semi-heretic, Clement of Alexandria (believing in universal salvation) and Tertullian of Cartage (believing in montanism). Tertullian knows a different version in which the beggar have the name "Eleazar" and not Lazarus. This could be a witness that in the ancient times, this story was a Jewish fable, attached later to the Gospel of Luke. Is no other mentions in the New Testament and of the primary, credible sources.

110. The Marcionite version of Luke 16:19-31

The Marcionite version of Luke 16:19-31

First of all, I am not a fan of Marcion.

The Marcionite version of the Gospel of Luke, preserves the fake Ebionite story of Lazarus and the Rich man, where the Jews are said by Abraham the common father that they have Moses and the Prophets, let them hear them.

MARCION, 13.29.
Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets, let
them hear them. Not after one has risen from the dead, will they listen.
LUKE, 16.29 to 31.
29.Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
30.And he said, Nay, father Abraham; but if one, went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
31.And he said unto him, if they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

111. Presentation of some biblical points

Presentation of some biblical points

a) What distinction has to be made with using the word "worship"?

When someone leaves a sign of submission, request, courtesy or gratitude to the other, he or she does not mean it as a worship of God (Genesis 11,12,  Luke 8:41, Revelation 3:9). Christians are forbidden to worship with exclusive devotion, objects and images, people (living or dead), the angels or worship Jesus as God the Father. Exclusive devotion to worship belongs only to God the Father (Exodus 20:1-5, Acts 10:25,26, 14:15; Revelation 19:10, 22:8,9). They have one God, the Father and worship in this sense, only Him, as did Jesus Christ, the Son of God and he also taught us to do so (Luke 22:41-45, Matthew 4:10).

b) What is the Christian injunction on use of force against their peers?

Christians are forbidden to kill and take revenge on their enemies, for whatever reason (Matthew 5:21,22 Matthew 5:38-48, Romans 12:17-21, James 1:19-21). To their defense they have to put it first under the protection of God and then under the protection of the laws that guarantee and protect the right to live and liberty of every man. Self protection is possible, immobilization (when is possible and without kill the life or injury to the aggressor) is allowed in certain exceptional cases (ex. mentally ill, one who does not know and wants to light up your house, burglary, etc.). - to compare with Matthew 24:43. In cases of force majeure (persecution, etc..) avoid conflict as our Lord Jesus taught: Matthew 10:23.

c) What wise exhortation is to be followed in terms of prayer and fellowship? And in terms of speaking in tongues?

In prayer and fellowship, we reject those pagan type of chaotic manifestation that dishonors the assembly and God: Matthew 6:5-8, 1 Corinthians 14:23,40. "Speaking in tongues" was a sign of warning for the Jewish unbelieving community, and once this sign of warning fulfilled - namely, that of warning - 1 Corinthians 14:21,22 this sign ceased, 13:8, Isaiah 28: 11.12.

112. The angel of the covenant, who is he?

The angel of the covenant, who is he?

The Old Testament - and of course the New Testament also - shows us two things about the Son of God.

1.That he works some work in the past and he comes to fulfill this works

2. And that he had "people" and if he had people, this means that he had a rank upon his people

Now, let's take this points in examination.

I take in your attention again the text of yesterday and I bold some important words:

New International Version (©1984) Judges 2:1
The angel (messenger) of the LORD (Yehowah) went up from Gilgal to Bokim and said, "I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land that I swore to give to your forefathers. I said, 'I will never break my covenant with you,

So, this mean, that this angel was the angel (messenger) of the covenant, the covenant given by God to Moses.

See also Judge 2:2 to be sure that this covenant was the covenant of Moses. You agree?
See any connection?
Young's Literal Translation
Galatians 4:14
and my trial that is in my flesh ye did not despise nor reject, but as a messenger of God ye did receive me -- as Christ Jesus;

113. The "anointed ones" and "the great crowd"

The "anointed ones" and "the great crowd"

Peace and grace for all,

Just a minute...

My actual point regarding the "anointed ones" and "the great crowd":
I believe that the heavenly calling is still open, is the only way of salvation (Matthew 12:30) for today and only after the rapture of the anointed ones, will be a general calling for earthly life for a great crowd to reach salvation.

I see this steps from the Bible:
1. The last testimony of the end time saints (the last members of anointed ones) for 3,5 years
2. All peoples turned against them under the leadership of the NWO
3. All people rejoiced when they will be persecuted from the hand of NWO staff
4. The resurrection and the rapture of the end time saints (will be visible for all)
5. The great call for a great crowd versus a great call for the sign of the NWO
6. The great tribulation plagues (the door of salvation is still open)
7. The worldwide battle of Har-M. (door of salvation closed)

Have a blessed time,
J.

114. The beast from Revelation's book

The beast from Revelation's book

Peace and grace to all,

All my understanding are based on biblical verses. When I see the beast like a political entity I argue with biblical verses. First is Daniel 7:23. If we read the whole chapter and compared it with the Book of Revelation, the connection is clear. Is the same beast. Knowing this for me is sufficient the scriptural explication:
1. beasts are kingdoms
2. horns are kings
All Christians falls, if they don't stay in this biblical explications. A religious leader, couldn't have seven heads, only a political entity could (compare with verse 6). This verse presents the Greek kingdom under the largest expansion. After the death of Alexander The Great four of his generals continues his unfinished plans, the kingdom having four heads and being divided in four parts.
This verse is a key to understand what means "seven heads" of the last beast.
Remember the parallel:
1. The Greek kingdom have four (4) heads (four rulers and his lands)
2. The Roman kingdom have seven (7) heads (seven rulers and his lands)
This situation must be depicted as the largest expansion of the Roman empire, compare with Daniel 4:40-43. In our modern time, the European nations are the descendants of the Roman empire, through the fusion of roman and barbarian population (intermarriage), and in fact in this form the Roman empire survived and conquer the whole world.
See for example the "Romanov (Roman-ov)" clan
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_of_Romanov
In the future we will see the last face of the Roman empire, with seven rulers and seven lands, united under the political will of the New World Order politicians.
First head is the European Union

Have a blessed time,
J.

WHERE HISTORY AND THEOLOGY MEET -- "In summary, if the interests of Christian faith and theology in the Jesus who really lived are to recognize the disclosure of God in this history of Jesus, then testimony is the theologically appropriate, indeed the theologically necessary way of access to the history of Jesus, just as testimony is also the historically appropriate, indeed the historically necessary way of access to this 'uniquely unique' historical event. 119. My old and new statement of faith

My old and new statement of faith

Peace and grace dear brothers, sisters and friends,

I would like to present here my new and still old statement of faith. Sorry if the grammar are not so good. I am interested to meet, face to face all of you who agree whit it.
Have a blessed time,
J.

1. The Holy Scripture, the Bible, is inspired by God and it is useful for our fulfillment: 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Corinthians 4:6. Any teaching, prophecy or conduct must be verified with the Bible, but, be careful, it can be misinterpreted: 2 Peter 3:15.16; Revelation 22:18, 19.

2. Salvation from sin and death is achieved through grace, through faith:  Ephesians 2:8, 9; Tit 3:5, in Christ‘s sacrifice: Romans 3:21-36; Luke 221:41-44. Not by deeds, because then we would annul both Christ’s sacrifice and God’s grace, which is given on the grounds of the belief in this sacrifice and thus the reason of our salvation would not be the belief in Christ’s sacrifice: Galatians 5:4-6; Galatians 2:21 and also the grace would no longer be grace Romans 10:6. However, the good deeds that God has prepared for us to do, are indispensable because faith without deeds is void, dead; that is why we must show our faith through good deeds: James 2:14-20. God’s Word teaches us that the payment for sin is death and not the sinner’s eternal torment: Romans 6:23. “The lake of fire” is a great warning signal of the eternal destruction that awaits the lost ones: Revelation 20:14. This "lake" is the eternal death, the eternal destruction, as it is so clearly shown: “The lake of fire is the second death.” Universal salvation (many chances to repent in God's Kingdom for sinners) and semi-universal salvation (a new chance for sinners to repent in God's Kingdom) are not biblical teachings (Revelation 21:7,8).

3. God loves every person and He commands all the people everywhere to repent: Acts of the Apostles 17:30; Romans 2:1-16. There is no possibility of salvation once a man dies unrepentant, that is why, with true love for mankind, we must do our best talents to spread the Gospel those who are lost: Matthew 24:14; Revelation 20:11-15. What would you say about a father who, before any of his children are even born, decides that he will kill the second and the third one, no matter what they could be, good or evil? There are a lot of Christians (Augustinians and Calvinists) who think that God has decided, in this way, the faith of billions of people. Does God wish the fall or the salvation of His children? The next verse reject the Augustinian&Calvinist view of salvation: “God, our Savior, who wishes all the people to be saved and to see the truth: “1 Timothy 2:3,4. As we see, God wishes the salvation of all the people, but those who through their bad deeds reject this free grace, fall from grace and cannot be saved. That is why, when Apostle Paul writes about our predestination we must bear in mind God’s wish shown to mankind (1 Timothy 2:3,4), for all people and by what and how we can enter in this predestination of salvation, which is a predestination as a group of believers and not of individuals: Romans 9:30-33. God did not create a man more sinful than another. He has not arbitrarily decided one’s destiny, neither one’s fall, nor salvation, and this even before the individual’s birth. Through repentance everybody can receive the grace of salvation! Luke 13:1-5.

4. There is only one almighty, supreme, sovereign, eternal, immortal and unchanging God. He is one single being, one single person distinct from all: the Creator of heavens and earth, the Father who bears the name of YHWH (transl. Yahweh, Jehovah, etc.): Exodus 3:13-16. That means that it was not God who died in pains on the torture pillar (renamed crux), but it was His Son, Jesus Christ who died: John 3:16; 1 Timothy 6:16; John 20:17; Luke 23:46. Jesus Christ did not always exist, because otherwise he would be God’s “Twin Brother” and not His Son, but obviously, as God’s Son, he inherited God’s nature and this nature is also promised to us, the faithful: 2 Peter 1:4. Of course, Jesus Christ existed in heaven as a distinct person from the Father, before His coming on Earth and His birth, Jesus being the beginning of God’s Creation: Revelation 3:14; John 8:57,58; Philippians 2:5-8. In the beginning, He was created, that is, brought into existence by God and not given birth by a heavenly woman (God's heavenly wife), because God is not a man nor a woman and cannot give birth like a man, nor like a woman. It is only when He came from heaven and was born like a man that He literally was given birth by the virgin Mary. The Holy Spirit is not a distinct person from God, because then it would be God’s “Twin Brother”; it is God’s Spirit. Being created in God’s  image: Genesis 1:26, every person has a spirit, which, however, does not make him the residence of two twin people: the copy looks like the original, in the same way as God has own Spirit, which is incomparably more powerful than our spirit, taking into consideration that we are only miniatures of the original. The idea and concept of the godly “one-trinity” has been taken from the pagan philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras of Samos, via Plato, Aristotle, etc. and “dressed” in meanings from the Bible, by certain prominent Christians of neoplatonic orientation from Egypt and Cappadoccia, etc. and imposed on Christians as Bible teaching.

5. We must not believe Satan’s lie that people don’t die: Genesis 3:4, John 3:13, John 11:11-14. The man is a divine creation, God’s creation, being the result of the joining of flesh and breath or, let’s put it in another way, the joining of flesh and the spirit breathed by the Creator: Genesis 2:7. As long as the flesh and the spirit coexist, the man is a being; in biblical terms: man is a living (breathing) soul. When this union ceases to exist, the man is no longer a being, a living and breathing soul. He not live anymore, death being the opposite of life. The only hope for those who die is the resurrection: John 5:28, 29. There is no conscious or subconscious “life” or the purgatory state after death: Ecclesiastes 9:1-12. Don’t let yourselves be fooled by those who explain the biblical parables in literal terms: Matthew 13:10-15. If the man could live after his death, there would be no need for resurrection.

6. The Christians are forbidden to worship (with the meaning of God's worship) objects, images, people (either living or dead) and angels: Exodus 20:1-5; Acts of the Apostles 10:25, 26; 14:15; Revelation 19:10; 22:8, 9. They have only one God, the Father and they worship Him, only Him, as Jesus Christ, God’s Son, did and taught us to do: Luke 22:41-45; Matthew 4:10. Our worship is in Spirit and truth and ONLY through His only begotten celestial Son, our High Priest and ONLY Mediator: John 3:3-7; John 3:13-21; John 4:24; John 8:31,32; John 14:6; Hebrews 4:14-16; 1 Timothy 2:5. If a person bows down to somebody else in sign of obeisance, courtesy, gratitude, it does not necessary mean that he or she worship that person: Genesis 23:12; Luke 8:41. Christians are forbidden to kill and to revenge themselves on their enemies, whatever the reason: Matthew 5:21, 22; Matthew 5:38-48; Romans 12:17-21; James 1:19-21.

7. Before the coming back of God’s Anointed (Christ means the Anointed), there will be great sorrow and trouble on Earth, which will show that God’s kingdom and the coming of His Anointed designated as King (of the whole earth) is near, is at the door: Luke 21:25-31; Matthew 24:29-33; Revelation 6:12-17. The signs show that God's Anointed comes after the signs, and not before them. A big sing will be the coming of an anti-God New World Order (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12).

8. In prayer and in gatherings those chaotic manifestations of pagan type which dishonor God’s gathering must be avoided: Matthew 6:5-8; 1 Corinthians 14:23, 40.

9. The Old Testament Sabbath and the abstention from certain foods are not obligatory now, because these commandments have been unbound: Mark 7:14-23; Acts of the Apostles 15:1-11; for example, vegetarians are called weak; we must treat them wisely so they won’t completely lose their faith: Romans 14:1-23.

10. Our Lord Jesus Christ said that the world will not see Him, only His disciples will: John 14:19. How does this truth tone with that which says that every eye shall see Him, even those who pierced Him: Revelation 1:7? Very simple: after the big and frightening sign, which will be the last in a series (plagues, catastrophes) which will come over the unfaithful: Matthew 24:29, 30. Revelation 6:1-17.

Repent, pray and watch! We have only one chance to enter in God's Kingdom. Let escape, and run from the wrath to come!

126. Immortality of the Soul or Resurrection of the Dead? by Oscar Cullmann

Immortality of the Soul or Resurrection of the Dead? by Oscar Cullmann

Oscar Cullmann, D.Th, D.D., was Professor of the Theological Faculty of the University of Basel and of the Sorbonne in Paris. The present work is the translation of a study already published in Switzerland, (Mélanges offerts à KARL BARTH à l’occasion de ses 70 ans [pubi. by Reinhardt, Bâle, 1956][Theologische Zeitschrift, N. 2, pp. 126ff]. See also Verbum Caro [1956], pp. 58ff.) of which a summary has appeared in various French periodicals.

Preface
"No other publication of mine has provoked such enthusiasm or such violent hostility. Exegesis has been the basis of this study, and so far, no critic of a wide variety of kinds has attempted to refute me by exegesis."
Introduction
The widely accepted idea of ‘The immortality of the soul’ is one of the greatest misunderstandings of Christianity. The concept of death and resurrection is anchored in the Christ-event (as will be shown in the following pages), and hence is incompatible with the Greek belief in immortality.
Chapter 1: The Last Enemy
Nothing shows better the radical difference between the Greek doctrine of immortality of the soul and the Christian doctrine of the Resurrection than the death of Socrates in contrast to the death of Jesus.
Chapter 2: The Wages of Sin: Death
The belief in the resurrection presupposes the Jewish connexion between death and sin. Death is not something willed by God, as in the thought of the Greek philosophers; it is rather something, abnormal, opposed to God.
Chapter 3: The First-Born from the Dead
Christ is risen: that is we stand in the new era in which death is conquered, in which corruptibility is no more. For if there is really one spiritual body (not an immortal soul, but a spiritual body) which has emerged from a fleshly body, then indeed the power of death is broken.
Chapter 4: Those Who Sleep
Death is conquered, but it will not be abolished until the End. Nothing is said in the New Testament about the details of the interim conditions. We only hear this: We are nearer to God.
Conclusion
The teaching of the great philosophers Socrates and Plato can in no way be brought into consonance with that of the New Testament. That their person, their life, and their bearing in death can none the less be honoured by Christians as the apologists of the second century have shown.

127. THE APOSTLES' CREED
THE APOSTLES' CREED

Cc. 135 AD in Rome, in Greek language
The Apostles’ Creed is the earliest extra-biblical Christian creed. The idea of God as a trinity, Christ’s descending in hell, the after-death judgement and the endless torment of the sinners is not hinted. In Gaul, in the fifth century, the phrase “he descended into hell” came into the creed.
“I believe in God, the Father Almighty; and in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary by the Holy Ghost, was crucified under Pontius Pilate, buried, rose from the dead on the third day, ascended to the heavens, and sits on the right hand of the Father; whence he will come, to judge the living and the dead: and in the Holy Spirit; the holy church; the remission of sins; and the resurrection of the body.”

128. Question for Muslims about the end times

Question for Muslims about the end times

Peace of God, Salam aleikum,

I want to ask some questions here if it is possible, for the Muslims. First: Muslims say that the Bible was corrupted, the Old Testament by the Jews and the New Testament by the Christians. My question is: In what percent? Is a total corruption, verse by verse or only important verses?
Second question: I would like to know if Genesis 9:27 is OK or Jews corrupted it?

The sons of Japheth, "The Japhethites"

Young'sLiteral Translation, Genesis 10:

1And these [are] births of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and born to them are sons after the deluge.

2‘Sons of Japheth [are] Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. 3And sons of Gomer [are] Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. 4And sons of Javan [are] Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. 5By these have the isles of the nations been parted in their lands, each by his tongue, by their families, in their nations.

Some locations of the sons of Japheth, is in the Caucasus, a region at the border of Europe and Asia, situated between the Black and the Caspian seas: "Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her [ie. Babylon], call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillars." Jeremiah 51:27

From this land they migrated to all Europe. So the Japhetithes are Europeans, and through this land they migrated all around the world, dwelling as masters of their brothers, as Noah predicted. See the world's map&history.

Now, please take a look inside this verse: "God doth give beauty to Japheth, And he dwelleth in tents of Shem, And Canaan is servant to him.'" Genesis 9:27 Young's Literal Version.

Not "Noah" but "God" gave this "beauty" to Japheth. What is this "beauty"? To be a master, a leader for Shem and Ham. I am right?

The prophet of God, Daniel, predicted the last empire, see the book's chapter 7 and compare with the history. Is this a "Japhethic" empire? Must be according to Noah's prophesy.

Let's see the genealogy of the leadership of the last empire: Noah had a son, Japheth, Japheth had a son, Javan, Javan had a son, Kittim (Khittim). Khittim is the father of Hittites, see the map and the history. One of their city was Troy. After the Trojan War, the Trojan refugees, lead by Aeneas, flee to west in modern part of Italy. The Trojan  emigrants built some cities: Lavinium, Alba Longa and Rome.

Timeline:
"In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim (606 BC), Daniel and his friends Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah were among the young Jewish nobility carried off to Babylon." Wikipedia

"Lucius Tarquinius Priscus, or Tarquin the Elder, was the legendary fifth king of Rome from 616 to 579 BC. His wife was Tanaquil." Wikipedia
So, Daniel and Lucius were contemporaries. In that time Rome was a small county. How could Daniel predict the great future of this weak city? This is God's great mind behind him.

See the prophetic statue, this is a perfect map:
Daniel
2:31“Your Majesty looked, and there before you stood a large statue—an enormous, dazzling statue, awesome in appearance. 32The head of the statue was made of pure gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and thighs of bronze, 33its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of baked clay. 34While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them. 35Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were all broken to pieces and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer. The wind swept them away without leaving a trace. But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth.

Explanation of the prophetic statue map:
"You are that head of gold."

Daniel
2:36“This was the dream, and now we will interpret it to the king. 37Your Majesty, you are the king of kings. The God of heaven has given you dominion and power and might and glory; 38in your hands he has placed all mankind and the beasts of the field and the birds in the sky. Wherever they live, he has made you ruler over them all. You are that head of gold.
"The Neo-Babylonian Empire was a period of Mesopotamian history which began in 626 BC and ended in 539 BC.[1] During the preceding three centuries, Babylonia had been ruled by their fellow Akkadian speakers and northern neighbours, Assyria. A year after the death of the last strong Assyrian ruler, Assurbanipal, in 627 BC, the Assyrian empire spiralled into a series of brutal civil wars. Babylonia rebelled under Nabopolassar, a member of the Chaldean tribe which had migrated from The Levant to south eastern Babylonia in the early 9th century BC. In alliance with the Medes, Persians, Scythians and Cimmerians, the city of Nineveh was sacked in 612 BC, and the seat of empire was transferred to Babylonia for the first time since the death of Hammurabi in the mid 18th century BC" Wikipedia

Another prophetic-map piece: "Daniel 2:39“After you, another kingdom will arise, inferior to yours." This was the Medo-Persian Empire: "The Achaemenid Empire (/əˈkiːmənɪd/; Old Persian: Pārsa;[9][10] New Persian: شاهنشاهی هخامنشی c. 550–330 BC), or First Persian Empire,[11] was an empire based in Western Asia in Iran, founded in the 6th century BC by Cyrus the Great.[11] ... Cyrus the Great would advance to defeat the Kingdom of Media" Wikipedia

Another prophetic-map piece: "Daniel 2:39 ... Next, a third kingdom, one of bronze, will rule over the whole earth."

"and another third kingdom of brass: this is the Grecian monarchy, which succeeded the Persian, and therefore called the third kingdom, and is signified by the belly and thighs of brass of the image See Gill on Daniel 2:32;

which shall bear rule over all the earth; not the land of Israel, as Saadiah restrains it, but the whole world, as Alexander did, at least in his own opinion; who thought he had conquered the whole world, and wept because there was not another to conquer; and it is certain he did subdue a great part of it. Justin (n) says,

"that when he was returning to Babylon from the uttermost shores of the sea, it was told him that the embassies of the Carthaginians and other cities of Africa, and also of Spain, Sicily, France, Sardinia, and some out of Italy, were waiting for his coming; the terror of his name so struck the whole world, that all nations complimented him as their king destined for them.''

And Pliny reports (o) of Macedonia, that

"it formerly (that is, in the times of Alexander) governed the world; this (says he) passed over Asia, Armenia, Iberia, Albania, Cappadocia, Syria, Egypt, Taurus, and Caucasus; this ruled over the Bactrians, Medes, and Persians, possessing the whole east; this also was conqueror of India.''

Daniel 2:40 "Finally, there will be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron—for iron breaks and smashes everything—and as iron breaks things to pieces, so it will crush and break all the others". This is the great Roman Empire.

Another important prophetic piece: Daniel 2:41"Just as you saw that the feet and toes were partly of baked clay and partly of iron, so this will be a divided kingdom; yet it will have some of the strength of iron in it, even as you saw iron mixed with clay. 42As the toes were partly iron and partly clay, so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle."
After the Roman Empire become a massive territory, a process of division started. Also, some barbaric nation comes and conquer some parts of it, as the prophecy shows: "so this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle."

Another very important prophetic piece: Daniel 2:43 "And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay."
This prophetic picture shows us that the great Roman Empire will be divided. Tell the Bible how many division will have? Yes.

See this final segment on the prophetic map: Daniel
2:44 “In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever."
"IN THE TIME OF THOSE KINGS" namely in the time of the LAST kings of that Roman Empire divisions the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever."

The prophetic map of Daniel 2 ended with the crush of the Roman Empire divisions (states) not by man or man's force, but by God himself: "It will crush all those kingdoms (states in modern time) and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever."

The message of all this verses is clear: God gives the supremacy to Japheth and to his sons (the Indo -Europeans, or the Caucazian race). Only he could stop this race. And he will do this in the proper time, when atheists will win all kind of religion. Another explanations coming soon.

I would like to share you an another prophetic map, with some details:
Daniel’s Dream of Four Beasts

Daniel 7:1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream, and visions passed through his mind as he was lying in bed. He wrote down the substance of his dream.
2Daniel said: “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me were the four winds of heaven churning up the great sea. 3Four great beasts, each different from the others, came up out of the sea.
4“The first was like a lion, and it had the wings of an eagle. I watched until its wings were torn off and it was lifted from the ground so that it stood on two feet like a human being, and the mind of a human was given to it.

This is the Babylonian Empire.

Another piece from the prophetic map: Daniel 7:5 “And there before me was a second beast, which looked like a bear. It was raised up on one of its sides, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. It was told, ‘Get up and eat your fill of flesh!’" This is the Medo-Persian Empire.

Prophetic map: Daniel 7:6 “After that, I looked, and there before me was another beast, one that looked like a leopard. And on its back it had four wings like those of a bird. This beast had four heads, and it was given authority to rule."

This is the great empire founded by Alexander The Great, the Macedon-Greek Empire. The four heads are four empire-parts leads by four generals, who lead the empire after the death of their supreme leader, Alexander. See: Wars of the Diadochi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Prophetic map Daniel 7:7 “After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns." This is the Roman Empire, surviving in his divisions (branches).

See what did the Europeans to the local Amer-Indians, Australians, Africans, etc. and tell me if this is not a piece of the true interpretation.
In the final of the prophetic map of Gad, we see that in the end time - future - ten kings will arise to lead the divisions (regions) of the Roman Empire.
Daniel 7:7 "and it had ten horns."

Daniel 7:8 “While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully."
Revelation 17:12“The ten horns you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but who for one hour will receive authority as kings along with the beast".

What is an hour before God? A very short time. This "SHORT TIME" is the time of the end.

Daniel 7:9-11 part a: "As I looked, "thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.

A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him. Thousands upon thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. The court was seated, and the books were opened. Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking."
You see, this last worldwide empire, have a good, but ungodly speaker (POLITICAL LEADER). This is the Anti al-Masih of the end time. What he speak? There is no God!

129. To the Christians and Muslims, about the life atfter death doctrine, according to the old time faith

To the Christians and Muslims, about the life atfter death doctrine, according to the old time faith

Peace on you, Salam aleikum,

According to the Old Time Faith, is no life after death, before the resurrection. Both parties - Modern Christians and Muslims, who is a Christian branch - are wrong in this doctrine. The old-time believers don't admitted the life after death, before the resurrection.

Encyclopédie de Diderot et d'Alembert

THNETOPSYCHITES, s. mr. pl. (Hist. Ecclesiast) ancient heretics, believing that the human soul was perfectly similar to that of beasts, and that she was dying with the body. See.

This word is composed of θνητὸς Greek, mortal, and ψυχὴ, soul.

It is found nowhere in these heretics St. John Damascene, heres. xc. to unless they are the same as those mentioned by Eusebius, Hist. Ecclesiast. liv. IX. c. xxxviij. where it is said that in the time of Origen there had Saudi heretics, believing that the human soul was dying with the body, but ressusciteroit with the body at the end of the world. Eusebius adds Origen refuted these heretics in numerous council, and bringing them back from their mistakes. Augustine & Isidore called Arab heretics.

Marshal in his tables, disfigured word fault of the hearing because he writes thenopsychites in the town of thnetopsychites: It also puts in the sixth century, but we can not guess on what basis he fact.

THNETOPSYCHITES, s. m. pl. Voyez .

Ce mot est composé du grec θνητὸς, mortel, & ψυχὴ, ame.

Vaiting for answers (Varvan "Gabor" velemenyet)

Gábor szerint:

2014. december 20. szombat - 12:54

Kedves Gabor,

Gondolom igen. Kerlek reagalj erre az anyagra:
Re: Luke 23:43 – Where does the comma go?

Kalvin Janos Genfi vallasdiktator ket dolog miatt gyulolte a kornyeke anabaptistait, amiert tagadtak az altala magyarazott lelekhalhatatlansagot es amiert elvetettek a csecsemokeresztseget.

Nezz csak be ide:
The Last hymn of Georg "Blaurock" 1529

(He also advocating soul sleeping until God's Kingdom:
My soul I leave in God's great Hand,
Until Your Kingdom, sleeping. (167, 8))

God will be judge in righteousness
With no one Him gainsaying;
His will, not ours, will be the test,
His sentence just pronouncing.

His Word does prove the hearts of men,
All seekers true converting;
Believe that Word and be baptized,
Obey your daily reading.

He marks you out from all mankind,
From Sin's grim power releases;
And for the wayward, godless, blind,
Their sad affliction ceases.

And so, Zion, God's people called,
Show all you have been given;
You will obtain a glorious crown,
With all your sins forgiven.

The Last great Day comes hastening on,
It warns us to be watching;
So help us, Lord, to bear the cross,
Your holy Purpose matching.

O Lord, direct us by Your grace;
And on Your love depending,
May Providence our lives control
Your Mighty Hand defending.

And as I now must part from friends,
From brothers, sisters weeping;
My soul I leave in God's great Hand,
Until Your Kingdom, sleeping. (167, 8)

Jeruzsalem elpusztitasa elotti idoben (70) a zsidokeresztyenek Pella videkere menekultek a Jordan tulso oldalara.

Re: Luke 23:43 – Where does the comma go?

John Albu (rt20@columbia.edu)
Fri, 2 Aug 1996 00:13:58 -0400

For the punctuation marks in Luke 23:43, three possibilities have been offered: to put a comma before the word “today,” to put it after “today,” or to put a comma both before and after “today.” — See “Understanding and Translating ‘Today’ in Luke 23.43,” by J. Hong, published in “The Bible Translator,” Vol. 46, 1995, pp. 408-417.

Early Greek manuscripts had no punctuation, but occasionally it is found in some MSS, and this is the case here, where B (the Vatican 1209) has a lower point ((hypostigme) after semeron. Regarding the punctuation used by this MS, it was noted that in general “B has the higher point as a period, the lower point for a shorter pause.” (A. T. Robertson, “A Grammar of the Greek New Testament,” Nashville, 1934, p. 242) The ink of the uncial letters in codex B was at one time a faded brown color, and in a later century a scribe traced over many of the letters and punctuation marks.
However, in Luke 23:43 the ink of the lower point is the same as the letters of the text, and thus it can be traced back to the fourth century C.E.

The Vatican 1209 uses punctuation marks also in other places. Thus, at Romans 8:5, ABCL and 26 cursives have a point after sarka.

Does anybody know any MS that displays some kind of punctuation in Luke 23:43, beside the Vatican 1209?

The Curetonian Syriac (fifth century C.E.) renders Luke 23:43: “Amen, I say to thee to-day that with me thou shalt be in the Garden of Eden.'”–F. C. Burkitt, “The Curetonian Version of the Four Gospels,” Vol. I, Cambridge, 1904.

Below I am quoting from several Greek sources, in transliteration and providing an English translation. I would appreciate if improvements would be offered for the English renderings.

Tines men houtos anaginoskousin* _Amen lego soi semeron*_ kai hypostizousin* eita epipherousin, hotiet’ emou ese e to paradeiso._
(“Some indeed read this way: ‘Truly I tell you today,’ and put a comma;
then they add: ‘You will be with me in Paradise.'” –Hesychius of Jerusalem, an ecclessiastical writer who died about 434 C.E. Greek text found in Patrologia Graeca, Vol. 93, columns 432, 1433.

Alloi de ekbiazontai to rhema, stizontes eis to <> hin’ e to
legomenon toiouton* <> eita to, <> epipherontes. (“But others press upon the saying,
putting a punctuation mark after ‘today,’ so that it would be said
this way: ‘Truly I tell you today'; and then they add the expression:
‘You will be with me in Paradise.'”)–Theophylact, an ecclessistical
writer who died about 1112 C.E. Edition: Patrologia Graeca, Vol. 123,
column 1104.

alloi — to rheton ekbiazontai* legousin gar dein hypostizontas (254:
hypostizantas) anaginoskein* amen lego soi semeron*>> eith’ houtos
epipherein to* met’ emou ese etc. (“Others press upon what is spoken;
for they say it must read by putting a comma thus: ‘Truly I tell you
today,’ and then adding the expression this way: ‘You will be with me’
etc.”)–Scholia 237, 239, 254. Text found in Novum Testamentum Graece,
editio octava critica maior, by C. Tischendorf, Vol. I, Leipzig, 1869,
under Luke 23:43.

kai eutys eipen moi hoti amen amen semeron lego soi, met’ emou ese en
to parad[eiso]. (“And immediately he said to me: ‘Most truly today
I tell you, You will be with me in Paradise.'”)–Descent into Hades,
an apocryphal writing of the fourth century C.E. Text found in Novum
Testamentum Graece, editio octava critica maior, by C. Tischendorf, Vol. I, Leipzig,869, under Luke 23:43.

(“And he said to him: ‘Today I tell you the
truth, that I should have you in Paradise with me.'”)–Gospel of
Nicodemus (=Acts of Pilate)b287, an apocryphal writing of the fourth
or fifth century C.E. Text found in Novum Testamentum Graece, editio
octava critica maior, by C. Tischendorf, Vol. I, Leipzig, 1869, under
Luke 23:43.

Therefore, at least from the fourth century C.E. until well into the
twelfth century C.E. there were readers who understood the text at Luke
23:43 as “Truly I tell you today, You will be with me in Paradise.” On
that very day, when Jesus died, he was in Sheol or Hades, and not in
Paradise. (Psalms 16:8-11; Acts 2:22-32) He was dead and in the tomb
until the third day and was then resurrected as “the firstfruits” of the resurrection. (Acts 10:40; 1 Corinthians 15:20; Colossians 1:18) Thus, the word “today” at Luke 23:43 does not give the time of the evildoer’s being with Jesus in Paradise.

131. My understanding regarding John 1:1 and Daniel 10:13

My understanding regarding John 1:1 and Daniel 10:13

Peace and grace from God, the Father Almighty, and from Lord Yeshua his Son. I am a Bible believer from 1991, and a patertheist non-trinitarian from 1992. I believe in one and only God, the Father Almighty (John 17:1-3).

And like Adventists believe, I also believe that the Son of God is Michael, the Archangel.
My understanding regarding John 1:1:
Here we are the Greek text: Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος, καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν, καὶ θεός ἦν ὁ λόγος.
Is possible that in the very beginning, the autograph writing of John 1:1 have a missing word, ignored or deleted later by a scribe in the early II century: In beginning was the Word, and the Word was with the God, and like God was the Word.
My understanding of Daniel 10:13
Michael is the first (achad) of the chief heads, compare with Daniel 12:1
Young's Literal Translation
'And the head of the kingdom of Persia is standing over-against me twenty and one days, and lo, Michael, first of the chief heads, hath come in to help me, and I have remained there near the kings of Persia;
Young's Literal Translation
'And at that time stand up doth Michael, the great head, who is standing up for the sons of thy people, and there hath been a time of distress, such as hath not been since there hath been a nation till that time, and at that time do thy people escape, every one who is found written in the book.
Best regards,
J.

132. The "archangel Christology" an "Angel Christology"? No!

The "archangel Christology" an "Angel Christology"? No!

Peace and grace for all the people who want's the peace and grace of God and his Son,

The "archangel Christology" an "Angel Christology"? No. The archangel is not "an angel". In Hebrew (hasar hagadol, Daniel 12,1) means "great prince", a "prince" (sar) like in Isaiah 9:6 "sar shalom". He is between God and angels.

In the heaven exist three ranks: God, the archangel and the angels.

The Protestants of Geneva, Adventists and Jehovah Witnesses weren't the first to reason that Jesus is Michael the Archangel:
"In a number of passages we read of an angel who is superior to the six angels of God's inner council, and who is regularly described as "most venerable", "holy", and "glorious". This angel is given the name of Michael, and the conclusion is difficult to escape that Hermas (was the brother of the Bishop of Rome) saw in him the Son of God and equated him with the archangel Michael. Both, for example, are invested with supreme power over the people of God; both pronounce judgment on the faithful; and both hand sinners over to the angel of repentance to reform them. ... The evidence to be collected from the Apostolic Fathers is meagre, and tantalizingly inconclusive. There is evidence also, as we observed in the preceding paragraph, of attempts to interpret Christ as a sort of supreme angel; here the influence of Jewish angelology is discernible." - Early Christian Doctrines, by JND Kelly, pp 94, 95
In The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia, John A. Lees says:
"The earlier Protestant scholars usually identified Michael with the preincarnate Christ, finding support for their view, not only in the juxtaposition of the "child" and the archangel in Rev 12, but also in the attributes ascribed to him in Dnl (for a full discussion see Hengstenberg, Offenbarung, I, 611-22, and an interesting survey in English by Dr. Douglas in Fairbairn B{ible} D{ictionary}." (1930, Vol. III), p. 2048.
"ARCHANGEL. This word is only twice used in the Bible, 1 Thess. 4:16; Jude 9. In the last passage it is applied to Michael, who, in Dan. 10:13,21; 12:1, is described as having a special charge of the Jewish Nation, and in Rev. 12:7-9 as the leader of an angelic army. So exalted are the position and offices ascribed to Michael, that many think the Messiah is meant." - Inter-National Bible Dictionary, published by Logos International, Plainfield, New Jersey, p. 35.

John Wesley's Note on the Whole Bible:

Daniel Chapter 10

5. A certain man; Very probably Christ, who appeared to Daniel in royal and priestly robes, and in so great brightness and majesty.
13. Withstood me; God suffered the wicked counsels of Cambyses to take place awhile; but Daniel by his prayers, and the angel by his power, overcame him at last: and this very thing laid a foundation of the ruin of the Persian monarchies. Michael; Michael here is commonly supposed to mean Christ. I remained; To counter-work their designs against the people of God

21. Michael; Christ alone is the protector of his church, when all the princes of the earth desert or oppose it.

C. H. Spurgeon from "Mornings and Evenings":

"To whom do we owe all this? Let the Lord Jesus Christ be for ever endeared to us, for through Him we are made to sit in heavenly places far above principalities and powers. He it is whose camp is round about them that fear Him; He is the true Michael whose foot is upon the dragon. All hail, Jesus! thou Angel of Jehovah's presence, to Thee this family offers its morning vows."

There is no other archangel in heaven, just Michael. Gabriel is not an archangel, he is an angel. And other names we don't have for any so called archangels "Raphael and Co" were invented.

Announcement - For founding a Bible study group in my town.

Peace of God!

I would be interested in opening an independent church (neo-protestant) which reject the version taken from the Roman Catholic Church, preaching paterteism (only the Father is God, but his Son existed in heaven before he coming on Earth) and faith in the mortality of the soul - and it's resurrection with the body, in God's appointed day.
For those interested,

With Chritian love,

134. Awesome one God, the Father Almighty

Awesome one God, the Father Almighty

"May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace." Ephesians 1:2

I am a Bible believer, a born again Christian, from Romania. All of us have a great opportunity to read the Bible and believe it. We have the great opportunity to be saved, if will accept Lord Jesus Christ sacrifice and teachings and keep it holy in our life...

Friends, we have an awesome one God, the Father Almighty, and he have a great, unique only begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. All of us could be adopted sons of God, through his Son, and through him, we could have an awesome one God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, who reigns from Heaven above, with great wisdom, mighty power and deep love.

Our God and Father is wise:

Jeremiah 10:12 "He has made the earth by his power, he has established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding has he stretched out the heavens:"

Our God and Father is strong:
Isaiah 40:26 "Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing."
Our God and Father is just:
Deuteronomy 32:4
"He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect.
Everything he does is just and fair.
He is a faithful God who does no wrong;
how just and upright he is!"
Our God and Father is loving:
John 3:16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."
Our God and Father is worthy of praise:
Luke 10:21 "In that same hour he (Jesus) rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will."
Our God and Father is a loving God and Father, is strong, wise and righteous, so is very worthy of glory for all what he do! This is his Son also. Let's be like our God and Father, loving, wise, strong and righteous and glorify him!
Amen, amen!

AN APPEAL TO PIOUS TRINITARIANS
By Henry Grew (c. 1857)
DEAR BRETHREN, - We acknowledge our fallibility. Truth will endure the closest investigation. I bear you record that you have a zeal for God. Is it, or is it not according to knowledge? Is it in the holy word, which you declare is the ONLY rule of faith, that you have found the declaration, that the one God is three persons? Have you been taught it by Jesus Christ, or by fallible men?
You admit that it is a subject of vast importance to understand correctly, what person, or being in the universe, has the rightful claim to the supreme worship of all intelligences, and the glory of being, exclusively, the one great and infinite source, "OF whom are all things." If one person rightfully claims this unrivaled glory, it must certainly be an error of no ordinary magnitude to give it to another.
No proposition is to be rejected because it cannot be perfectly comprehended by a finite mind. Yet a revelation to the human mind of anything, necessarily implies some intelligent understanding of it. The first question, however, for our serious consideration, is, Is the doctrine that God exists in three equal and infinite persons, a doctrine of divine revelation, or of human imagination?
Christian brother; can you open your bible and read, God is three; or that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, are one God; or any words of equivalent import? Even the interpolation of 1Jo 5:7, does not affirm that the three are one God. What do we read in the Word of the Lord on this important subject? "Hear, O Israel? The LORD our God is ONE LORD." De 6:4. "God is ONE." Ga 3:20. "There is but one God, the Father." 1Co 8:6.
What is the testimony of "The faithful Witness" of the Truth? Addressing his "Father," Joh 17:1-3, he plainly and positively declares THE FATHER TO BE "THE ONLY TRUE GOD." You believe that the Father is one person. If then you believe that "the only true God" is three persons, does not your faith stand in the wisdom of men," which denies the testimony of Jesus Christ, that ONE person is "the ONLY true God?" Please to consider the testimony of the inspired apostle, 1Co 8:6. It is not only that "there is but one God," but that this one God is "THE FATHER." He plainly distinguishes the Father as the "one God" "or whom are all things." The Father the PRINCIPAL, the Son the AGENT. Now behold the harmony of divine truth. "God created all things BY Jesus Christ." Eph 3:9. "By whom also he made the worlds." Heb 1:2. All his works of love and power, were what "God did BY him." Ac 2:22. "God our Saviour" SAVES US BY, or "through, Jesus Christ our Saviour." Tit 3:4-6. He "shall raise us up also (from the grave) BY Jesus." 2Co 4:14. "God will judge the world in righteousness BY" him. Ac 17:31. All this the Saviour confirms in his own declaration, "I came down from heaven not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me." Joh 6:38. The humanity did not come down from heaven. The divine and "only begotten Son of God" came down, and took the body "prepared" for him. Heb 10:5. Does not this prove the inferiority of his highest nature to the supreme God? Does not the supreme God seek to do the will of another rather than his own?
Please to observe in what character our blessed Mediator presented himself to a sinful and dying world as the object of faith. To the healed man he said, "Dost thou believe on the Son of God?" Joh 9:35. When he asked his disciples-"Whom say ye that I am?" what did the apostle reply, to whom our "Father in heaven" had revealed the truth one this important subject? Did he reply, thou art the second person in the adorable trinity, or thou art the supreme God? He replied, "Thou are the Christ, the SON of the living God." Mt 16:16,17. Is it a significant fact that our Lord never claimed any higher title than this? When the captious Jews charged him with making himself equal with God, did he not immediately repel the charge by the solemn asseveration, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, the Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do?" Joh 5:19. The omnipotent Jehovah cannot be thus dependent on another. "I live by the Father," Joh 6:57. "My Father is greater than I", Joh 14:28. The connection proves that this refers to his highest nature. His prayer, Joh 17:5, for the glory of his divine nature which he had with the Father "before the world was" proves the dependence of his nature.
The scriptural doctrine of the divine Sonship is essential to the true doctrine of atonement or reconciliation. The inspired testimony on this great doctrine is, that God gave HIS OWN SON to be a "sacrifice" or "propitiation" for the sins of the world. Joh 3:16,1Jo 2:2 4:10 Ro 3:25, &c. He made the "soul" of his son "an offering for sin." Isa 53. Trinitarianism admits of no such offering. It supposes that the human body only died, and that the union to supreme deity gave efficacy to the sufferings and death of humanity. It should be considered, that it is the dignity of the nature and character of the real sufferer and dying Lamb, as "the first" and "only begotten of the Father," which gives virtue to the offering. "We have a great High Priest, Jesus, THE SON OF GOD." His soul was in sheol [the grave in Hebrew] until "God raised him from the death state," and in sheol" there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge." Ec 9:10, "Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest." "He offered HIMSELF without spot to God." Heb 9:14. It was not for the death of humanity only, that the sun withdrew its shining, the earth shook to its center, and the curtain of the Holy of Holies in the Temple was rent in twain. "Surely this was the Son of God."
Please to consider candidly, whether or not you can truthfully reconcile his constant declarations of dependence on the Father, with his supposed supreme deity, by referring those declarations to his human nature. If this nature was united to the second infinite person, how could it be dependent on the first? The dependence must necessarily have been on the second person and not on the Father.
You ask, Is not our dear Lord "the Word" which John declares "was with God and was God?" Certainly; but is not the term God, used (like the term Lord,) in different senses in the sacred scriptures? Is it not applied to the rulers of Israel, Ps 82:6?, "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High." Moses was a god to Aaron, Ex 4:16, "And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.". Satan is "the god of this world." 2Co 4:4. The Son of the Blessed is "God over all." Is he God or ruler over all, independently, or by appointment of the Father, "the only true God?" Joh 17:1-3. Let the holy scriptures answer. 1Co 15:24-28, "God, even the Father-hath put all things under him." This is equivalent to his being "over all;" -"it is manifest that he is excepted which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subjected unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God (not the Trinity, but "THE FATHER," as verse 24 proves) may be ALL in ALL." Is not this divine testimony fatal to trinitarianism? Our blessed Lord as God, has a GOD. Heb 1:8,9. The Father has no god above him. You believe that the God with whom the Word was, is the supreme God. If then the Word was also supreme God, is it not a truth of divine revelation, that there are two supreme Gods? Scripture is its own best interpreter. See the context (verse 14) where the Word is defined to be "the only begotten (Son) of the Father, full of grace and truth." Mr. Andrew Fuller has well observed, that "the glory of the Word, and the glory of the only begotten of the Father, is one and the same." The Word was "begotten" and not self-existent. Again we read, that he is "the first born of every creature." Col 1:15, which must refer to his pre-existent state; for the apostle argues that he is so, from the fact of all things being "created by him." He is "the beginning of the creating power, that the intelligent universe will ever behold; "being the brightness of his glory and the express image of his person." The universe gains nothing, but sustains an inconceivable loss by substituting an infinite person for the matchless Son of God. To infinity you cannot add. One infinite person is equal to any number. The Father is "the alone (monou) God." Joh 5:44.
It is affirmed, that the same infinite attributes are ascribed to the Son as to the Father. Let us see. Peter said, "Lord, thou knowest all things." John said to his brethren, "ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things," 1Jo 2:20. Let us allow the sacred word to determine the source of the knowledge of our blessed Jesus. "God GIVETH not the Spirit by measure unto him," Joh 3:34. Will you not allow that, if thee is any thing unknown to the Son, in any nature, that he cannot be omniscient? He himself plainly declares that there is. He affirms that his "Father ONLY knows of the day of his second coming, Mt 24:30-36. He assures us that all the power he has "in heaven and in earth," "over all flesh," for the gracious purpose of giving eternal life to God’s elect, is GIVEN him by the Father, Mt 28:18 Joh 17:2. I ask, for Jehovah’s honor, if it is not contemning the divine wisdom, and charging God foolishly, if we say that an "given" power is inadequate for this purpose? Is it not the plainly revealed fact that "God our Saviour" hath "saved us, through (or by) Jesus Christ our Saviour?" Tit 3:4-6. The context of Re 1:8, does not require its application to the Son; it refers to the Father. -"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." See verses 4, 5, "John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; 5: And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood". If the spirit of Paul could be present with his absent brethren in their assembly, 1Co 5:4, cannot the spirit of Jesus Christ be present, in a more effective sense, with "two or three" who assemble in his name?
We have too little conception of the capacity of the Infinite to delegate "treasures of wisdom, and knowledge," and power, as he pleases. Infinite perfections are indeed incommunicable; but what a vast amount may be possessed within this boundary! It pleased the Father that in him (Jesus Christ) should all the fullness dwell," Col 1:19. "I and my Father are one." He did not say one God. He prayed that his disciples may be one with him and his Father," even as" he and the Father "are one," Joh 17:21-23 Php 2:5-11. "Christ Jesus-thought it not robbery to be equal with God." Doddridge and Macknight (both trinitarians) consider the word "equal" an incorrect translation, rendering the Greek word "like," or "as." As an example of humility, the apostle presents to the consideration of his brethren, a real and great change of condition of the pre-existing Son of God, which can never be predicated of immutable deity, being totally incompatible therewith.
Joh 5:22,23. "The Father hath committed all judgment unto the Son, that all men should honor the Son even as they honor the Father." Observe the ground of this great honor; it is judgment committed to him by the Father. We honor the Father, not on the ground of any thing committed to him by another, but as the independent source of all things, 1Co 8:6. Joseph was honored "even as Pharaoh," Ge 44:18. Yet Pharaoh was greater "in the throne" then Jos#Eph 41:40. So our Saviour affirms, "my Father is greater than I" Isa 6:1-5, compared with Joh 12:41, is supposed to prove that Jesus is Jehovah. In the Hebrew the first word Adonai, and not Jehovah occurs. In the 5th it is Jehovah. Compare this passage with Ps 110:1, and it appears that Isaiah saw both Christ and Jehovah. Now it is declared that "no man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him," Joh 1:18. Must we not then understand that Isaiah saw the glory of God "in the face of Jesus Christ," who is "the brightness of the Father’s glory and the express image of his person," see 2Co 4:6. Jesus said, "He that hath seen me hath seen the Father." How? "The Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works," Joh 14:10. He doth not say the second person in the Trinity, of my own deity that dwelleth in me, doeth the works; but THE FATHER. In respect to his power to forgive sins, see Joh 20:23, " Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained." [Editor: I like the comparison someone used to express this thought: He said, "One cannot look at the sun with his eyes, but one can see the effects of the sun by looking at the world," likewise with God; one cannot look at Jehovah, but one can see the effects of Him by looking at the effects of Jesus.]
Re 5:13. "Blessing and honor and glory and power be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever." 1Ch 29:20. "And all the congregation worshiped the LORD (Jehovah) and the king," i.e., David. Jehovah is worshipped as "the only true God," Jesus Christ as "his first begotten" Son, as Heb 1:6 proves, and as the Lamb that was slain. Re 5:12. David was worshiped as the King of Israel. Each in his true station. It is in the highest sense only, that we are forbidden to worship any but the Supreme. See Lu 14:10, "But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.".
Mr. MacWhorter of Yale College has published a volume, to prove two things. First, That the Hebrew word Jehovah signifying "I AM," should be Yahveh, signifying, "I will be." Second, that Yahveh or Jehovah is Christ.
To test the correctness of the term Jehovah, he proposes to "substitute the English I AM, as an equivalent for Lord" where "the latter occurs in the Old Testament." "This (he affirms) is a perfectly valid test, and should such a rendering seem unmeaning or unworthy, in any connection in which it is made to stand, this fact of itself, would afford a strong presumption that we have not arrived at the true significance of the term." Page 14.
Let us now apply this "perfectly valid test" to determine, whether or not the learned author is correct, in affirming that Yahweh or Jehovah is Christ, and substitute the word Christ where the word Lord in capitals occurs, which, in the Hebrew, is usually, Jehovah or Yahveh.
Ps 110:1 "The Christ said unto my Lord, (Adonai, i.e., Christ,) sit thou on my right hand until I make thine enemies they footstool." Here we see the rendering is "unmeaning and unworthy;" and that the Father, and not Christ, is Yahveh or Jehovah. The dying martyr saw Jesus Christ, "on the right hand of God." Ac 7:56. Did he see two Jehovah, or is the Father not Jehovah? Isa 42:6. "I the Christ have called thee in righteousness, -and will give thee (Christ) for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles."
Isa 53:6-10. The Christ hath laid on him (Christ) the iniquities of us all." Ps 40. "I (Christ) have preached righteousness in the great congregation, O Christ thou knowest." Isa 53:10. "It pleased the Christ to bruise him," i.e., Christ. Ps 2:2. "The rulers take counsel against the Christ and against his anointed" (Christ.) See also verse #6, Isa 61:1. "The Christ hath anointed me (Christ) to preach good tidings to the meek," &c. See also Mic 5:4. He of Bethlehem (i.e., Christ) "shall stand and feed in the name of the Christ HIS GOD." See also Isa 55:5, and other passages.
This we see is all "unmeaning and unworthy," according to the learned author’s own "perfectly valid test;" demonstrating that Christ is not Jehovah or Yahveh. Isa 63:16, positively declares; "O Jehovah (or Yahveh) thou art our Father."
The fallacious impression that we dishonor the Savior, if we withhold from him the highest possible divine nature, presents many from believing his testimony, that the Father is "the only true God." Joh 17:1,3. The writer was, for a tine, the subject of such an impression. Having found at the Cross that deliverance from the guilt and dominion of sin, which reading, prayer, and resolutions had failed to remove; his love abounded towards his precious Redeemer; but not "in all knowledge." Php 1:9. He has since learned, like Peter, that all regard for "the Son of the Blessed," (who delights to honor his Father) which is contrary to truth, will only meet his rebuke. Mt 16:22.
It plainly appears from 1Co 2:11, that "the Spirit of God" is no more a distinct person from God, than the spirit of a man is a distinct person from the man. It would be an anomaly of a most extraordinary character; if there was an infinite intelligent person in the universe, to whom no prophet, priest, apostle, or saint of the sacred Scriptures, ever offered any direct prayer or praise See the true doxology, Re 5:13. The Spirit of God is "poured out" or "shed forth," Ac 2:17,33; terms inapplicable to personality.
For the honor and glory of the ever blessed God, our Father; "the GOD and FATHER of our Lord Jesus Christ;" I submit this brief essay to your serious candid consideration.
Finally, "forbearing one another in love;" let our chief concern be to possess the holy, the humble, the benevolent spirit of Him who has loved us and given himself for us, walking daily in his imitable footsteps; "that when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming."
Yours for the truth, in Christian love.

135. A statement of faith

A statement of true faith
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I believe in one God, Yehouah, the Father Almighty,
and in Yesus The Anointed, his only begotten Son, our Lord,
who came from heaven to be born on earth through Mary, a virgin, by the holy spirit (the mind-power of God),
was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
died and buried, rose from the dead on the third day,
ascended to the heavens, and sits on the right hand of the Father,
whence he will come, to judge the living and the dead;
and in the holy spirit, the holy church, the remission of sins,
the resurrection of the death and in the eternal life. Amen!

136. About the holy spirit: For trinitarians and semi-trinitarians, a helping hand in the holy spirit matter

About the holy spirit: For trinitarians and semi-trinitarians, a helping hand in the holy spirit matter

The holy spirit is of God, so "he" (God) has a mind, will and emotions... But exist some translations who complicate the matter:

For example King James Bible
"And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God" Romans 8:27.

Let's see Acts 1:5, if this is a baptism with a "third heavenly person" or a "divine mind-power" Acts 1:8? Compare with Acts 2:17,18,33. This is a good context. The Bible explain the Bible without human interpret.

What do you believe about Matthew 28:19, this is a corrupt verse or not? If not, what is "the name" of the holy spirit?

We believe that Matthew 28:19 is a corrupt verse, by the Roman Catholic Church.

See another translation, Douay-Rheims Bible
"And he that searcheth the hearts, knoweth what the Spirit desireth; because he asketh for the saints according to God." Romans 8:27.

Holman Christian Standard Bible
And He who searches the hearts knows the Spirit's mind-set, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
Berean Literal BibleAnd the One searching hearts knows what is the mindset of the Spirit, because He intercedes for the saints according to God.

See the entire context, is about God's spirit, yes, God's spirit want's us, not a "third person": Rom 8: 11 And if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead, dwell in you; he that raised up Jesus Christ from the dead, shall quicken also your mortal bodies, because of his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Again the context: Rom 8:14 For whosoever are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Again: Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit (of God, not a "3rd person") also helpeth our infirmity. For we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit (of God, not a 3rd person) himself asketh for us with unspeakable groanings. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts, knoweth what the Spirit (of God not a 3rd person) desireth; because he asketh for the saints according to God.
More context Friends and more bible translations. And a lot of prayer. Nowere a 3rd person.
Yes, God has a will. The will of God is in his spirit.
Is simple...

137. Anarthrous construction of John 1:1 and It's Meaning

Anarthrous construction of John 1:1 and It's Meaning

"en arche en ho logos kai ho logos en pros ton theon kai theos en ho logos" John 1:1 in ancient Greek

About the word anarthrous an·ar·throus (n-ärthrs) adj. 1. Linguistics Occurring without an article. Used especially of Greek nouns. [From Greek anarthros, not articulated : an-, without; see a-1 + arthron, joint; see ar- in Indo-European roots.] We could understand the anarthrous meaning of John 1:1 through a simple substitution of words. If we substitute a word of a proposition with one of the common ground words the construction of the proposition will be the same. For example: "In my bag I have two apples." "In my bag I have two plums." Now, what we will have if we substitute some words from John 1:1? In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Let's see: in the beginning was the word and the word was with god and the word was god Compare now with this substitution: in the beginning was the women and the women was with man and the women was man Technically the substituted proposition shows us some very interesting things, the nature of woman. She was also a "man" in her human nature. That is the meaning of the non substituted John 1:1 If we compare John 1:1 with 2Peter 1:4, what we will say about our future nature (if we accept truly and faithfully the heavenly calling)? "Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires." We will have "the divine nature" as our Lord Jesus have from the beginning, when he was with his Father. So, we will be God or Jesus, because our "divine nature"? No, not at all. This word "god" could be used in both way: - as a term for a descriptive title of God, the Father Almighty and - as a term for a similar nature as God have Conclusion: In John 1:1 we have both terms, but in the case of the Logos, we have an anarthrous construction not an articular construction and in this case the anarthrous construction emphasizes the nature of the Logos and is not a term for a descriptive title of God. So, John 1:1 shows us that the Logos was not God the Father himself, just has the same nature as his Father. Is not about a second or lesser "god", is about nature. If the Son is a "son"... If the Son is a "son"... Trinitarians, like Adam Clarke, admits, if Lord Jesus is a "son" of God, according to what means "a son" in literal sense, he must be "originated", with beginning, without knowledge, and so, connected to God through obedience and subordinate to God. This is what we as non-trinitarians strongly believe. What should know oneness "Jesus only", Trinitarians, Unitarians, etc. about the word "god" from John 1:1 part c "and god was the word"? Many people believe in "God's incarnation" (oneness "Jesus only", Trinitarians, etc.) or in God's literal words - as God's plan incarnation (Unitarians, Socinians, Christadelphians, etc.) because they don't understand John 1:1 part c "and god the word was" and they do this because not understand a very simple way of saying. For example Satan is "the god (the same word like in John 1:1 part c) of this age", according to 2Corinthians 4:4. Satan is God, like the Father, or just "god"? Again, Peter was named "satan" by Jesus, according to Matthew.16:23. Is Peter Satan, the Devil or just "satan"? When in John 1:1 part c our Lord Jesus is named "god" is in this way of saying: John 10: 25Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father’s name speak for me, 26but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30I and the Father are one.” 31Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, 32but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?” 33“We are not stoning you for any of these,” replied the Jews, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.” 34Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are gods’? 35If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came—and the Scripture cannot be broken— 36what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’? 37Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. 38But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” 39Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp. What is the problem with the word "god" from John 1:1 part c? This word (god) could be used or was used just only in connection with God Almighty? No! I don't know why it is so hard for Trinitarians and Unitarians to accept an apart way of saying? The first man, Adam, after his earthly nature was named "man" (which means a kind of soil), and of course his sons are all named after his nature: man. If the sons of Adam have the earthly, Adam-like, Adam-nature, why the heavenly Son of God could not have the heavenly God-like, God (Divine)-nature? The sons of Adam are not Adam, so, the son of God are not God. Of course, when the Son of God came in this world he put down his God-nature, and put up the Adam-nature, so, he became a simple man, like the first man, Adam, special, pure and without sin. If we understand right John 1:1 part c, the whole message of John 1:1 is so simple, so wonderful, so true: God have a heavenly Son (son in literal meaning, see please Hebrews 1:3), who have the same nature as his Father. This Son came down from heaven, not God, nor a "God's plan". Proverbs 30:4 Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered up the wind in the hollow of his hands? Who has wrapped up the waters in his cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and the name of his son? Tell me if you know! In the last book of the Bible, namely, in Revelation 19:13, John calls him “The Word of God,” saying: “And his (nick)name is called The Word of God.” (AV; Dy) Note that his nickname is not called “God the Word,” but is called “The Word of God,” or God’s Word. Hence John 1:1 must mean, at most, that the Word was of God, not God himself.

138. Early Arians infected with trinitarian ideas

Early Arians infected with trinitarian ideas

Quotes from Thalia, by Arius. See the infection, you can't find the "Triad, Monad, Dyad" in the Bible. "So there is a Triad, not in equal glories.
Their beings (hypostaseis) are not mixed together among themselves. (Marcellus of Ankyra testified that the followers of Arius were "trinitarians, who believed in three hypostases")
As far as their glories, one infinitely more glorious than the other.
The Father in his essence (ousia) is a foreigner to the Son, because he exists without beginning.
Understand that the Monad [eternally] was; but the Dyad was not before it came into existence.
It immediately follows that, although the Son did not exist, the Father was still God.
Hence the Son, not being [eternal] came into existence by the Father’s will,
He is the Only-begotten God, and this one is alien from [all] others" Trinity

In the fourth-century, Marcellus of Ancyra declared that the idea of the Godhead existing as three hypostases (hidden spiritual realities) came from Plato through the teachings of Valentinus,[9] who is quoted as teaching that God is three hypostases and three prosopa (persons) called the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit:

Now with the heresy of the Ariomaniacs, which has corrupted the Church of God... These then teach three hypostases, just as Valentinus the heresiarch first invented in the book entitled by him 'On the Three Natures'. For he was the first to invent three hypostases and three persons of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and he is discovered to have filched this from Hermes and Plato.[10]

Since Valentinus had used the term hypostases, his name came up in the Arian disputes in the fourth century. Marcellus of Ancyra was a staunch opponent of Arianism, but also denounced the belief in God existing in three hypostases as heretical, and was later condemned for his teachings. Marcellus attacked his opponents (On the Holy Church, 9) by linking them to Valentinus:

Valentinus, the leader of a sect, was the first to devise the notion of three subsistent entities (hypostases), in a work that he entitled On the Three Natures. For, he devised the notion of three subsistent entities and three persons — father, son, and holy spirit.[11]

For many, who don't know  "He taught that the Father alone is God". No, he din not. Arius was a trinitarian, see what he wrote in his hymnal book, the Thalia: "Certainly there is a Trinity .. and they possess glories of different levels (δόξαις οὐχ ὁμοίαις)"

... And so God Himself, as he really is, is inexpressible to all.
He alone has no equal, no one similar (homoios), and no one of the same glory.
We call him unbegotten, in contrast to him who by nature is begotten.
We praise him as without beginning in contrast to him who has a beginning.
We worship him as timeless, in contrast to him who in time has come to exist.
He who is without beginning made the Son a beginning of created things
He produced him as a son for himself by begetting him.
He [the son] has none of the distinct characteristics of God’s own being (kat’ hypostasis)
For he is not equal to, nor is he of the same being (homoousios) as him.
God is wise, for he himself is the teacher of Wisdom
Sufficient proof that God is invisible to all:
τοῖς τε διὰ υἱοῦ καὶ αὐτῷ τῷ υἱῷ ἀόρατος ὁ αὐτός.
He is invisible both to things which were made through the Son, and also to the Son himself.
I will say specifically how the invisible is seen by the Son:
τῇ δυνάμει ᾗ δύναται ὁ θεὸς ἰδεῖν· ἰδίοις τε μέτροις
by that power by which God is able to see, each according to his own measure,
the Son can bear to see the Father, as is determined
So there is a Triad, not in equal glories. Their beings (hypostaseis) are not mixed together among themselves.
Hence the Son, not being [eternal] came into existence by the Father’s will,
He is the Only-begotten God, and this one is alien from [all] others
Wisdom came to be Wisdom by the will of the Wise God.
Hence he is conceived in innumerable aspects. He is Spirit, Power, Wisdom,
God’s glory, Truth, Image, and Word.
Understand that he is also conceived of as Radiance and Light.
The one who is superior is able to beget one equal to the Son,
But not someone more important, or superior, or greater.
At God’s will the Son has the greatness and qualities that he has.
His existence from when and from whom and from then — are all from God.
He, though strong God, praises in part (ek merous) his superior.
In brief, God is inexpressible to the Son.
For he is in himself what he is, that is, indescribable,
So that the son does not comprehend any of these things or have the understanding to explain them.
For it is impossible for him to fathom the Father, who is by himself.
For the Son himself does not even know his own essence (ousia),
For being Son, his existence is most certainly at the will of the Father.
What reasoning allows, that he who is from the Father
αὐτὸν τὸν γεννήσαντα γνῶναι ἐν καταλήψει;
should comprehend and know his own parent?
For clearly that which has a beginning
is not able to conceive of or grasp the existence of that which has no beginning.

A slightly different edition of the fragment of the Thalia from De Synodis is given by G.C. Stead,[63] and served as the basis for a translation by R.P.C. Hanson.[64] Stead argued that the Thalia was written in anapestic meter, and edited the fragment to show what it would look like in anapests with different line breaks. Hanson based his translation of this fragment directly on Stead's text. Here is Stead's edition with Hanson's translation.

God himself, therefore, in himself remains mysterious (ἄρρετος).
He alone has no equal, none like him, none of equal glory.
We call him unoriginated (ἀγέν[ν]ητον) in contrast to him who is originated by nature ...
we praise him as without beginning in contrast to him who has a beginning,
we worship him as eternal in contrast to him who came into existence in times (χρόνοις).
He who was without beginning made the Son a beginning of all things which are produced (γεννήτῶν),
and he made him into a Son for himself; begetting (τεκνοποιήσας) him.
He (the Son) has nothing peculiar to (ἴδιον) God according to the reality of that which is peculiarly his (καθ᾽ὑπόστασιν ἰδιότητος),
and he is not equal ... far less is he consubstantial (ὁμοούσιος) to him (God).
And God is wise because he is the Teacher of Wisdom.
As a sufficient proof that God is invisible (ἀόρατος) to all,
that he is invisible to the Son’s people and to the Son himself...
I will declare roundly, how the invisible can be visible to the Son:
τῇ δυνάμει ᾗ δύνατ’ ὁ θεὸς ἰδεῖν ἰδίοις. .
by the power in which God can see, according to his individual ... capacities (ἰδίοις ...
the Son is able to see... the Father as is determined (θέμις).
Certainly there is a Trinity .. and they possess glories of different levels (δόξαις οὐχ ὁμοίαις)
their individual realities (ὑποστάσεις) do not mix with each other,
The sole glory is of the Sole (μία τῆς μιᾶς), infinitely more splendid in his glories.
The father is in his substance (οὐσίαν) alien (ξένος) from the Son because he reamains without beginning.
Understand therefore that the Mondad (μονὰς) existed, but the Dyad (δυὰς) did not exist before it attained existence.

So the Son having not existed attained existence by the Father’s will.
He is only-begotten God and he is different from any others.
Wisdom became Wisdom by the will of the wise God,
and so he is apprehended in an uncountable number of aspects (ἐπινοίαις).

He is God’s Glory and Truth, and Image and Word.
Understand too that he is apprehended as Reflection (ἀπαύγασμα) also and Light.
The Greater One is able to beget (γεννᾶν) someone equal to the Son,
but not someone more important or more powerful or greater.
It is by the will of God that the Son has his stature and character (ἡλίκος καὶ ὅσος)
when and whence and from what time he is from God.
For he is the Mighty God [i.e., the Son, Isa 9:15] and in some degree (ἐκ μέρους) worships the Greater.
To summarize, God is mysterious (ἄρρητος) to the Son,
for he is to him that which he is, i.e. ineffable (ἄλεκτος),
so that none of the things spoken ... [text is corrupt for some words ]
... for it is impossible for him
to trace out in the case of the Father what he is in himself.
Indeed the Son himself does not know his own substance (ousia),
for though he is the Son he is really so by the will of the Father.
For what sense does it make that he who is from the Father
αὐτὸν τὸν γεννήσαντα ... γνῶν’ ἐν καταλήψει;
should [text corrupt] in comprehending his own begetter?
For it is clear that that which has a beginning, of him who is without beginning the nature (ὡς ἔστιν)
could not possibly comprehend or grasp.

Blow the trumpet! (The articles of this blog)

Blow the trumpet and waiting for the "Final Test"!

Peace and grace for all the honest researchers,

God loves us (Jn 3:16) and wants to save us (2Pt 3: 9).God warning everybody about to the events before us!The coming events before us:

The microchip

Revelation 13:16-18 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name.

This calls for wisdom. Let the person who has insight calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. That number is 666.

The mount of fire from the sky

Revelation 8:8-11

The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.

This is a statement of faith about my general views from the Bible. My research started in 1991

A statement of true faith
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I believe in one God, Yehouah, the Father Almighty, the Creator of Heaven and Earth and of all things from the Universe
and in Yesus The Anointed, his only begotten Son, our Lord,
who came from heaven to be born on earth through Mary, a virgin, by the holy spirit (the mind-power of God),
was crucified on an "crux simplex" under Pontius Pilate,
died for our sins and buried, rose from the dead on the third day,
ascended to the heavens, and sits on the right hand of the Father Almighty,
whence he will come, to judge the living and the dead;
and in the holy spirit, the holy assembly, the remission of sins,
the resurrection of the death and in the eternal life. Amen!

International Standard Version
Joel 2:1 "Sound the ram's horn in Zion! Sound an alarm on my holy mountain! Tremble, all of you inhabitants of the land, because the Day of the LORD (Yehowah) is coming. Oh, how near it is!"

New American Standard Bible

Ezekiel 33:

The Watchman’s Duty

1And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 2“Son of man, speak to the sons of your people and say to them, ‘If I bring a sword upon a land, and the people of the land take one man from among them and make him their watchman, 3and he sees the sword coming upon the land and blows on the trumpet and warns the people, 4then he who hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, and a sword comes and takes him away, his blood will be on his own head. 5‘He heard the sound of the trumpet but did not take warning; his blood will be on himself. But had he taken warning, he would have delivered his life. 6‘But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet and the people are not warned, and a sword comes and takes a person from them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require from the watchman’s hand.’

"Apophis" a near-Earth asteroid nicknamed "The Destroyer" is coming!

Are you ready?

What the "Internet" said?

Apophis Asteroid is approximately 325 meters (+ possible smaller rock around), a near-Earth asteroid, a close encounter with earth in 2029, would pass through a gravitational keyhole and set us up for an impact on April 13, 2036.

Quote ---NASA is drawing up a shortlist of ideas to be unveiled early next year for diverting a 40m-ton asteroid that is on course to pass dangerously close to Earth.

The schemes will be presented and discussed at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Fears that the planet may be in danger from asteroids were heightened by the discovery of one orbiting the sun that, on its present path, will pass within 22,000 miles — a hair’s breadth in astronomical terms — in April 2029.

Nasa’s idea is to engineer a minor shift in its trajectory that would make the asteroid miss Earth by a wider margin on this and all subsequent passes. Under one possible plan, a robotic craft would be sent to the asteroid to attempt to alter its course. One option might be to install a propulsion system on the surface to nudge it onto a new course.

The studies follow the discovery of hundreds of small asteroids orbiting the sun that repeatedly cross Earth’s orbit, raising the possibility of a devastating collision. The one causing most concern is a rock of more than 1,000ft called Apophis, the Greek name for the Egyptian god Apep, known as “the Destroyer”. It will come so close that it will pass under many satellites and may destroy some.

--- End quote ---

Someone jokingly said: "Quick, get Bruce Willis and Ben Afleck on the phone! And Robert Duval too. Maybe if we sacrfice them to the gods, they will be appeased and spare our wretched planet."

But the problem is serious, as Shade and Unknown Target wrote!

Shade

"22.000 miles. That's close. Should make for a nice spectacle in the sky if it passes at night, if nothing else when it starts clearing out any satellites that get in its way. Definitely gonna grab a telescope and camp out in some dark place for the night if it passes at the right time and is above the horizon :)"

Unknown Target:

"For comparison: the Earth's average distance from the Moon is 385,000 kilometers, or 239,227.909 miles (all hail Google!). That asteroid will be super close."

Ghost:

Nuclear weapons will be "The Solution" as William Adama said?: "The use of nuclear weapons is now authorized." - William Adama (Battlestar Galactica)

"Seriously, though. Jesus. That's kinda scary. I vote instead of altering the asteroid's course, we slow down Earth's orbit. =D

Shade:

--- Quote ---That asteroid will be super close.

--- End quote ---

Yep. Geosynchronous orbit is about 35.700km, so it's actually right about there unless my conversions are off. Which should get interesting, I bet there will be more than a few geo-sync satellite operators biting their nails while that thing flies by."

God loves us (Jn 3:16) and wants to save us (2Pt 3: 9).

God warning everybody about to the events before us!

The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain,

all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into

blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a

torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of

water— the name of the star is Wormwood.

A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.
